Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro
Arrive in Kilimanjaro, and transfer to the KIA Lodge, conveniently located near the airport, for overnight.
Day 2
Kilimanjaro / Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Kilimanjaro for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park. After checking in at the Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp, our home for the next two nights, journey through the rolling countryside searching for the park’s populations of black rhino, antelope, leopard, lion and cheetah. Day 3
Tarangire National Park
Sunrise will just be sweeping across the savanna on your morning game drive, where your naturalist guides will point out elephants and some of the park’s 260 recorded bird species. Tarangire also hosts migrating herds of wildebeest, zebra and Grant’s gazelle, which you’ll look for during an escorted afternoon game drive. (B,L,D)
Day 4
Tarangire / Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a morning game drive spotting elephants through the baobab trees before setting out across the Great Rift Valley towards Ngorongoro. Check in to the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, which features a wonderful view of the crater. In the afternoon, venture into the world’s largest unflooded caldera (collapsed cone of a volcano) on a game drive. (B,L,D)
Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
Protected from the outside world by a huge rim, Ngorongoro’s abundance of food and freshwater supports more than 30,000 large mammals. Descend 2,000 feet into the crater for thrilling morning and afternoon game drives among Africa’s “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard), with a special emphasis on seeking out the rare black rhino — this area is one of the best places to find them in East Africa. Day 6
Serengeti National Park
(Jan/Dec departures) Head for the Ndutu region of the Southern Serengeti, where you’ll spend the next three nights under canvas at Serengeti Sojourn Camp, an innovative mobile camp that moves with the herds. The Serengeti Plains are home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth, and our frequent game drives are a chance to see immense herds. (B,L,D)
(May departure) Head for the northern, Kogatende area of the Serengeti, where you’ll spend three nights at the Ole Serai Luxury Camp, set along one of the prime locations to view the Great Migration. (B,L,D)
(June-August departures) Head for the Lobo Grumati region of the Western Serengeti, en route visiting Olduvai Gorge, where evidence of early man was found by the Leakey family in the late 1950s. Spend the next three nights under canvas at Serengeti Sojourn Camp. (B,L,D)
Day 7-8
Serengeti National Park
Enjoy daily game drives through the acacia savannas and grasslands of the Serengeti, spotting wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topi, impala and hartebeest along with predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Hippos and crocodiles may be found along the network of rivers and lakes. You’ll have ample opportunity in camp to learn more about your expert driver/guides and staff, personable locals who strive to bring Africa to life during your safari. (B,L,D daily)
Day 9
Serengeti National Park / Masai Mara Reserve
After one last game drive in the Serengeti, board our flight to the Masai Mara, a rich savanna famous for its concentration of plains game and predators, including leopard, cheetah and hyena. After checking into the Tipilikwani Mara Camp, your home for the next two nights, enjoy your first game drive in the reserve. (B,L,D)
Day 10
Masai Mara Reserve
Experience a full final day of game drives in the famed Masai Mara Reserve. Here in this northern extension of the Serengeti Plains, the land is teeming with elephants, large prides of lions, buffalo, Thomson’s gazelle, and giraffes. (B,L,D)
Day 11
Masai Mara Reserve / Nairobi / Depart
After breakfast, transfer to Nairobi where dayrooms are available at the Four Points by Sheraton at NBO Airport before departing on your independent homeward flight. (B,L)

KIA Lodge
The KIA Lodge, is conveniently located less than a five minute drive from the Kilimanjaro Airport. The lodge is situated on a secluded hill in the heart of beautiful savanna scenery. Enhanced with African decorations, an indoor and al fresco restaurant offer a warm welcome to into the Tanzanian culture. Enjoy a Kilimanjaro beer in the open bar, and observe over a hundred species of birds in the garden, or relax at the hilltop swimming pool with great views of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru, the Blue Mountains, and the Maasai plains all around. Rooms include air conditioning, personal safes, and en suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.
Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp
Tarangire River Camp is located in a Wildlife Management Area bordering the Tarangire National Park and situated on a high river bank over looking the Tarangire River. With spectacular views over the valley and river below, there is no shortage of amazing scenery. The 21 spacious safari tents are raised on wooden platforms. Each have either a king or twin beds, en suite facilities with hot and cold running water, and a verandah with a day bed that overlooks over the water; you’ll love watching the elephants taking a drink as sunset starts to paint the sky.
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, Ngorongoro Crater, the lodge has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, which is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest. All 91 double bedrooms feature two queen sized beds and a separate dressing area. Each room has a glass-fronted verandah, where you may enjoy a private view of the Crater. The lodge features a gift shop, internet café (for a fee), laundry service, and a swimming pool.
Serengeti Sojourn Camp
Mobile tented camps ensure that you are as close to the action as possible and give you a sense of being in the wilds of the Serengeti. Impeccable service and fine dining provide a level of luxury and comfort in the middle of the African bush…where every meal is a “bush” meal. The tents are spacious with a veranda, easy chairs, proper beds and an en suite bathroom with flush toilets and hot water showers. Hot water is provided by camp staff in buckets. The lounge tent has a well–stocked bar as well as books on the Serengeti. The dining tent is well-appointed and the food is delicious. Each tent has a butler to attend to your every need. A full crew will accompany your expedition to take care of all the work and details involved in setting up and moving the mobile camps, as well as the housekeeping and catering services.

Tipilikwani’s 20 tents are set on the banks of the Talek River and overlook the plains of the Maasai Mara. Decorated with warm, rich colors, the well-appointed tents provide an authentic African atmosphere. Each tent features a patio with view of the natural surroundings, mosquito nets and a dining area.
