Transformational journeys in support of the Cuban people.
Explore Cuba’s history, colorful culture, and nature while directly supporting individual Cubans and private enterprise.
Cuba travel is legal for Americans. Conservancy Travel programs are fully compliant with OFAC general license CFR §515.574, “Support for the Cuban People.”
BEYOND THE POSTCARD
We’ll take you beyond the colorful building facades, salsa and rum into the heart of what makes Cuba so fascinating.
Conservancy Travel provides unique access to people and places the average tourist rarely sees. With more than two decades of experience in Cuba, our unparalleled network of Cuban experts provides the culturally curious traveler with one-of-a-kind experiences and exclusive access.
Carefully crafted journeys explore the vibrant cities and small towns that make this country so unique. Immerse yourself in colonial architecture, classic cars, and lively music while experiencing first-hand how a country shaped by so many outside influences survives through personal initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong sense of community.
The people are the heart of the journey.
Each journey directly supports Cuban entrepreneurs, community groups, individuals and families — making every trip a force for positive local impact.
You will return home with real insight into this incredible country and the knowledge that your travel provides sustainable, truly meaningful support for individuals you now know by name and call “friend.”
HOW WE OPERATE
People-to-People partnerships.
All programs are managed in partnership with the Fundación Antonio Núñez Jiménez de la Naturaleza y el Hombre (FANJ), a Cuban cultural and scientific non-governmental organization.
Our network of self-employed experts, artists and artisans, musicians, independent dance companies, and inspiring community projects provides not only a legal way to visit Cuba, but a transformational way of traveling — one that engages with and directly supports Cubans in every interaction.
Conservancy Travel journeys are fully comprehensive, OFAC-compliant programs.

TRIP STYLES & GROUP SIZES
Designed for your group.
Our 5-night Havana and Viñales program is available for individual travelers, couples, and small groups. It is our foundational Cuba experience — Havana’s extraordinary layers paired with the tobacco landscape and farming communities of Viñales.
For groups of ten or more, we recommend extending into Cuba’s interior. Trinidad, Cienfuegos, and Camagüey offer dimensions of Cuban history and culture that Havana alone cannot provide. Custom itinerary development is available upon request.
LEGAL TRAVEL FOR AMERICANS
The Basics.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents can legally visit Cuba under one of twelve OFAC-approved categories. Independent travel is not permitted — travelers must follow a fully-planned, group itinerary. Conservancy Travel operates under the “Support for the Cuban People” general license, which requires a full schedule of activities that directly strengthen Cubans’ independence from government control. Our programs are built from the ground up to meet this standard in letter and in spirit.
OFAC License
CFR §515.574, “Support for the Cuban People” — a general license requiring no individual application.
